2 Guys and A Girl

If you haven't watched SYTYCD on Thursday I wanted to let you know there were 10 million votes that came in but, I am sad to say Adechike got voted off. But I am very glad to say that Lauren,Kent and Robert are in the Top 3. They will be preforming for your votes. Who do you want to be "America's Favorite Dancer"? How Dare He???

So You Think You Can Dance judge Nigel Lythgoe has accidentally referred to the programme as American Idol.

TV’s one-time Mr Nasty is rumoured to be joining Idol as an executive producer.

In the latest episode of Dance, Cat Deeley asked him after a performance: “Nigel, two powerful women on stage. Did it work for you?”

He said: “Yes, and this is the first time we have seen this on American Idol…”

Deeley said: “Wrong show!”

He replied: “Oh, did I? Sorry… Terrible slip of the tongue. I wonder what’s on my mind.”

How could he call So You Think You Can Dance American Idol.

Suspicion

I have a feeling that Kent and Lauren both aged 18 are dating because on the results show on July 29, 2010 they seemed to be hugging eachother a lot and while they were watching solos Kent had his arm wrapped around her. I will let you know if I figure anything out about this. But I think I am right I am going to make a poll about this! So look for it soon!!!

Ashleigh Jakob - Hip Hop(whatcha say)

I really liked this routine from season6 I hope you like it too!

Spoiler Alert: 07/15/10

This is a blog post about who got voted off of So You Think You Can Dance on 07/15/10 so if you don't want to find out who got voted off DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS POST!

First, They kicked off the show with a Broadway routine by Tyce Diorio.

Then, they got down to some business they started by talking to Lauren and Kent. and Cat teased them she said, "The person who is joining Ashley in the bottom three is ... ~dramatic pause~ ... Not on this stage." Kent said he hates Cat! HeeHee!

Then, They had cool dance routine to watch.

Next She had Billy and Adechike come out on stage and she announced that Billy would be joining Ashley in the bottom 3.

Later, she had Robert and Jose come out on stage and she told the audience that Jose was in the bottom three.

Then, there was yet another great preformance.

Then, We saw twitch and Comfort show us some of their skills.

Next, we saw Billy and Jose take the stage for their solos.

Later We got to enjoy some singing from Christina Parry.

Then, Cat tossed it over to Nigel and announced that Ashley had to be let go because of her health to let her rib get better. I thought she was a great dancer and I am sad to see another injured person have to go so hopefully this doesn't happen yet again.

SYTYCD 7/14/10

So this is my first ever blog post all about an episode So You Think You Can Dance! Let's get to it.

The show kicked off with the inroduction of course. but sadly Ashley can't participate because she had to go to the hospital because her rib hurt badly and was advised not to dance on Wednesday night:(

They chose the people they were going to dance with as always. There was no other contestant for Jose so he was paired with all star Dominic.

For the first dance of the night was the first ever Tahitian dance. It was Lauren who was paired with all-star Mark. Nigel said "I like your Farapoo  this is a whole new look for the show, and hea also said It looked like a lot of fun" Mia said, "I thought you had great poise and posture I absolutley loved it."

Next up, all-star Anya was paired with Adechike for a sassy Salsa. It was a very technically challenging routine. That was really hard choregraphy" said Adam

Then Jose took on a Broadway routine partnered by Courtney the all-star. The story line is Jose is a stage hand and Courtney is a show girl. Nigel said "You didn't dance the steps very well and I was let down."

Soon after that, Robert took the stage with all-star Aliison with a gorgeous contemporary routine. The storyline is Allison is the choreographers mother who just had a major surgery and Robert was Travis the choreographer. It was an amazing routine. Mia sad while crying " What was just danced was bigger than anything.That was the best routine so far for you Robert."

Next up was Billy and all-star Anya took the stage by storm with a very competitive jive. Adam said. "It was one of my faveorite preformances of the season for Billy."

Then Kent hit his routine out of the ball park when he was paired with all-star Niel for a Tyce Diorio Broadway routine. In the routine they showcased amazing backflips! Nigel said "Kent was the MVP of the baseball team SYTYCD and that he knocked it out of the ball park. I think with Alex out of the way you have a good chance of  making it to the end."

Next was Billy and Lauren who took on a Jazz routine. Before we saw the routine we learned that Lauren is always worried that people are going to steal her food so she keeps the food close to her and eats it like a squirrel. We also learned that Billy LOVES soda and he is always drinking soda and everybody on the show hopes he gets over the addiction. "I thought it was an adorable routine," said Nigel.

Then Jose was paired with all- star Dominic for the first ever B-Boy Routine! We learned from Dominic that Jose always covers the seat with toilet paper before he uses it. This routine was very impressive if I must say. It was one of my favorite routines of the night. "You redeemed yourself," said Nigel "AMAZING!", Mia said "Thats the way to compete" Adam said

Kent and Chike took on a Contemparay piece it is about Kent who is in a bad relationship and Chike plays Kent's friend trying to help him out of the relationship. But before we saw the routine we saw that Adechike loves cooking and one day wants to make a dancers cookbook. Kents secret is that he has a crush on Lauren. Adechike joked and said last week the kiss was not part of the routine. But here is what Mia had to say about the routine. She said "Kent danced unbelievably and that Chike had a great week!"

Robert took on the season's first Disco routine with Kathryn because as you know Ashley suffered an injury. Robert said something you don't know about Ashley is that she is in love with Robert. Ashley said Robert laughs really loudly. Adam said "You sold it and I bought it."

I hope you enjoy this blog it took an extremley long time to write.

What to Look Forward To...

Just so you know what to look forward to, on this blog every Thursday morning and I will write all about the show the night before. I will take notes while I am watching the show and tell you as much as I can about that nights episode of So You Think You Can Dance. So you should be able to look forward to that every Thursday morning hopefully before noon. I will do the same on Friday mornings I will always title them Spoiler Alert or something similar to that because it is elimination night and you may not want to know who got eliminated from the show. But since the ones I would post on Friday mornings they will be pretty short so maybe while I am watching the show and be writing about it and post it after the show so maybe they will go up on Thursday night at the earliest. I am not sure but I might do the same thing with the ones I will post on Thursday mornings so those might go up on Wednesday night. But I have a feeling that might just happen like twice but I am not completely sure. But we will see but I will try to get all posts up as soon as possible. Also some other things to look forward to are what you have seen on the blog. I will be posting more pictures and videos of all of my all time  faveorite routines. Sorry it is really bad quality of a picture but it was the best I could do so don't get mad at me pretty pleas. But anyways this is a picture of when Alex got eliminated from the competition because of his injury. I was devastated and I am  sure many others were devestated seeing him go. He was an AMAZING dancer and whenever he danced it didn't look like he was a ballet dancer he looked like he was specialized in the genre of dance he was doing.

If you didn't know this Alex is a ballet dancer so if you saw this video without knowing that you would have thought Alex was a hip hop dancer. But this! All I can say is Man that was sick. But anyways enjoy!

Alex Q&A

On Thursday night, on So You Think You Can Dance, fan favorite and my favorite Alex Wong was eliminated from the competition after sustaining an injury that will keep him from dancing for at least three months. During a rehearsal the night before he was set to perform, he tore his Achilles tendon and will have to have surgery on Tuesday. Given that he will not be able to dance, the judges automatically and unanimously decided to send him home but offered him the opportunity to return for season 8. Today, he spoke to RealityWanted and reporters in a press conference call about his injury and whether or not he'll return for season 8.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I loved you this season and would like a verbal confirmation that you'll be back for season 8! A. Alex: I just have to wait and see what's going on with my injury and hopefully, I can continue.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Is returning to the show something that you want to do?

A. Alex: Yeah, it's definitely something I look forward to. I feel like I haven't finished my journey. There's so much more to learn so yeah, I hope to come back.

Q. What is the recovery process like for your surgery that you're having on Tuesday?

A. Alex: I'm not sure yet because I haven't been able to speak with my surgeon extensively yet. You have to be in a boot and, at first, your foot is sort of pointed and then they slowly flex it as the weeks go out so that your tendons tear. There's rehab after that. You're not supposed to push it too hard or it will tear again

Q. Did you know you were going to be leaving and what was that like for you?

A. Alex: Yeah, I knew I was going to be leaving because the night before, I was pretty sure I had split my Achilles in half. It was a long couple days to find out that it wasn't going to happen. I had such an amazing journey and I'm so grateful. Everything happens for a reason and I have to try to keep my chin up.

Q. Would you every try out for SYTYCD Canada?

A. Alex: I don't know. I'm not sure I'm allowed to.

Q. It's disappointing to leave but you were given a lot of praise, especially for that hip hop routine last week. Do you feel like you're leaving on a high note?

A. Alex: Yeah, I do. I feel like I accomplished a lot of what I set out to do but I feel like I wasn't finished. There's so much more I could've learned. Even though I had a few great weeks, it's just not enough!

Q. If you had stayed, what dance style were you looking forward to trying?

A. Alex: This week, the night before, I had Fox Trot and Bollywood so that was all ready to go. I would've loved to have gotten Latin ballroom or anything! I'm up for all the styles because there's nowhere else you can do that and that's why I came to the show, to learn. I would've loved to dance with every single all star. They're amazing.

Q. The contestants seem very close this season. Were you surprised by how quickly you bonded with them?

A. Alex: It was not something I expected. I would assume we would get cloes but this season was special. With so few of us to begin with, it was the luck of the draw when everything was amazing. The contestants are the most amazing people and we get along so well. That's the hardest part for me is leaving them.

Q. Have you found the silver lining yet?

A. Alex: Not yet. I'm sure it will come up, hopefully sooner than later. I do believe everything happens for a reason and it hasn't failed me yet. I'm very grateful.
